The objective of the Christianson TDS Summer Student Program is to provide law students with experience in the practice of law and an opportunity to get to know the firm’s lawyers and practice areas including corporate, commercial, municipal, family, criminal, real estate, and more. Students assist in legal research, drafting documents, and preparations for court proceedings and other hearings. We provide as many opportunities as possible for our students to accompany lawyers to client meetings, pre-trial proceedings, hearings, and commercial transaction closings. Our Summer Students are also invited and encouraged to participate in the firm’s in-house education seminars and social functions throughout the summer. Our goal is to ensure that our students are exposed to a variety of areas of law while gaining first-hand experience of what it is like to practice in a full-service law firm in rural Manitoba. Interested students should apply by completing the online application form and attaching their cover letter, resume, undergraduate transcripts, and law school grades to date (if available). We anticipate that interviews will be conducted the week of February 10th. The anticipated start date is May 5, 2025, and the salary is competitive with other summer student programs.
